Is Dairy good for you?

Do you consume dairy? If so, how much do you have and how do you have it?

What many of you don't know is that we don't need dairy! Many people around the world don't even have it. If you do have to drink milk, please drink organic with no added hormones, chemicals, or antibiotics. There are other dairy-free options such as soy, rice, almond, oat, and coconut milks. I recommend Silk unsweetened almond, coconut, and cashew milk.

If you think drinking milk is great for calcium, think again... Here are other sources of calcium that won't provide you with the same issues: Sesame seeds, sardines, amaranth, collard greens, kale, almonds, parsley, dandelion greens, mustards greens, salmon, watercress, chickpeas, beans, spinach, swiss chard, leeks, broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, tofu, and buckwheat.

Countries that have the highest dairy intake actually have the highest rates of osteoporosis. Healthy bones needs calcium yes, but also magnesium, phosphorus, boron, copper, manganese, zinc, and many vitamins. Eating vegetables and greens should be all the vitamins and minerals you need for calcium without the negative effects of dairy.

Many don't realize they are sensitive to dairy. Dairy contributes to menstrual pains, asthma, brain fog, mucus and skin conditions, inflammation, as well as mood swings. Taking dairy out of your diet should lead to remarkable improvements in your health. I would love to help you through the process of an elimination diet if you think you need to go this route. We will work together to come up with a strategy to get your feeling your best and being confident in the body that God created you to have!
